Kicking Off with Alice’s Amazing Journey!

Remember Alice? She recently completed her 2-year nursing course, and the good news doesn’t stop there. Alice has already landed a paid job as a dispenser in a pharmacy! This is a monumental achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder. Alice’s journey is a shining example of what passion, determination, and hard work can accomplish. We owe a big thank you to everyone who has supported her through donations—your generosity has helped make her dreams come true. Alice’s success story is a beacon of hope and inspiration for us all.

Mary’s Football Success!

Do you recall Mary? Along with five other children from 1MoreChild, she was trained as a Ugandan referee by the Federation of Ugandan Football Associations. Well, Mary has been making waves and was recently chosen to join the team of referees for the East Africa Secondary School football competition. Go Mary! Her dedication and skill have led her to this fantastic opportunity, and we couldn’t be more excited to see where her passion for football will take her next.

School Holiday Adventures: Cycling in Kenya and Beyond

What are your kids up to this school holiday? Our kids have been on the move—literally! Three of our boys headed to Kenya for a special school holiday cycling training program. And for those who stayed behind, the cycling fun didn’t stop; they continued their training right here in Uganda. We believe in keeping our kids active, engaged, and happy during their break, and there’s nothing quite like the joy of seeing youngsters on bikes, enjoying their school holidays to the fullest.

Life Skills and Relaxation at 1MoreChild

While school’s out, our residents have been busy learning important life skills by taking care of house maintenance. These are essential skills that they carry with them as they grow up in the 1MoreChild family. But it’s not all work and no play—many of our residents have also been enjoying a well-deserved rest, practicing their favorite hobbies, and simply relaxing. It’s a reminder that even in our busy lives, we shouldn’t forget the importance of taking a break and recharging.

The Power of Community

One of the most remarkable things about the 1MoreChild family is the strong sense of community. Our residents have created a supportive environment where everyone helps each other. Whether it’s lending a hand with chores or sharing their talents, they prove that we’re not meant to do it all alone.
